Ajith fans have been starved for news about Billa 2 as the makers have been keeping everything under close wraps. Now producer, Sunir Khetrapal has announced that he has a special treat for fans this Pongal. The first look for the film has been revealed and the logo and posters was also unveiled.
It created a huge buzz around Thala Ajith !
Apparently, it's about 30 per cent more than what Thala's 50th film, Mankatha, sold for. This highly-anticipated flick, which is currently being edited, just has six more days of patchwork left according to the source. As of now, the film's tagline - Every man has a past. Every don, a history - has already got people's attention on social networking sites.
Thala is on a fast track, so to say. Much ahead than expected, the shooting of Ajith's 51st film 'Billa 2', directed by Chakri Toleti, has been wrapped. The climax scene was shot on a grand scale in Georgia recently.
"Ajith has two projects in store him. One is to be helmed by Vishnuvardhan, the 'Billa' man, and the other by 'Siruthai' fame Siva. Ajith will start shooting for them soon and 2012 will be a year to celebrate for his fans," say circles close to him.
Both the projects are yet to be titled as of now. While the Siva-directed venture will be produced by the reputed Vijaya Productions on the centenary of its founder Nagi Reddy, the Vishnuvardhan-Ajith film is expected to be funded by a corporation production house.
Meanwhile, Chakri Toleti will soon start the post production works of 'Billa 2'. "Re-recording, editing and other works will go on for two to three months. The movie will hit the screens as a big summer treat," sources say.
Billa II is an upcoming Tamil gangster-thriller film directed by Chakri Toleti. It is a prequel to the 2007 film Billa and would focus on how David, an ordinary man from the coastal regions of South Tamil Nadu, becomes Billa, a dreaded underworld don, with Ajith Kumar reprising the role of the titular character.[2] It also features Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Vidyut Jamwal and Sudhanshu Pandey in supporting roles, all of whom making their debut in Tamil cinema.
