Arya's Ascension !

Chikku Bhukku is a forthcoming romantic film directed by Manikandan. It stars Arya, Shriya Saran and Preetika in the lead roles.

The film completed its principal photography in February 2009, with a 22-day schedule in Karaikudi being completed immediately after with Arya and Preetika. Other destinations revealed for the production of the film include South Indian hill resort Ooty and London. Shriya Saran began her shoot in April 2009. Currently Shriya and Arya are stranded in London where they had gone for a shoot of a song.

Vidya Balan was earlier being considered to play the main female lead in the film but she couldn't fit in her dates due to Bollywood commitments hence Preetika, the younger sister of Bollywood award-winning actress Amrita Rao, was chosen in her place

ARYA : Birth Name: Jamshad Cethirakath

Jamshad popularly known as Arya , is a Malayalee-born Indian movie actor who has appeared in Tamil films. His younger brother Sathya also appears in films.

Arya started off as a computer engineer,his passion for filming brought him to modelling before debuting in Jeeva's Ullam Ketkumae which also marked the debuts of Asin Thottumkal and Pooja Umashankar. The film also starred Laila and Shaam, but the film was delayed only releasing after Arinthum Ariyamalum. In Arinthum Ariyamalum, Arya played as son to Prakash Raj in a critically acclaimed role which won him Filmfare Best Debut Award South and Best New Male Face Award at the Filmfare Awards. Arinthum Ariyamalum and Ullam Ketkumae both made it large at the box-office.

Oru Kalluriyin Kathai also made it big at the box-office and Arya was touted as the next pin-up boy of Kollywood. His next, Kalabha Kadhalan was an average grosser in Kollywood as it shared a striking resemblance, with the Kollywood's all time best thriller, Vaali. Pattiyal with Bharath broke records in B and C centre all over Tamil Nadu. He played the role of an underworld hit man in the film.

After Naan Kadavul, Arya has allotted bulk dates to work with director Vishnuvardhan for their forthcoming movie titled Sarvam along with Trisha Krishnan. Director Vishnuvardhan and Arya worked together earlier in Arindhum Ariyamalum and Pattiyal.

He graduated with an engineering degree from Crescent Engineering College, based at Vandalur, Chennai under the auspices of the famed University of Madras in India. He also did his schooling in SBOA matriculation and higher secondary school.
