Top commercial director Lingusamy has announced his new film Vettai with Arya in the lead.

The film will be produced by Dhyanidhi Alagiri and Vivek Retnavel under the Cloud Nine banner . Madhavan and Tamannaah are also likely to be part of the film, though they have yet to sign up.

Lingusamy said: “ Vettai is going to be an action packed family entertainer and a multi-starrer that would have all commercial ingredients that one would associate with a Lingusamy film. There would be something different in the story presentation and packaging”. The director also said that the film which was originally planned with Silambarasan as the hero is set in a small town most likely Thoothukudi in southern Tamil Nadu

Lingusamy will have his regular team, music director Yuvan Shankar Raja lyrics by NA. Muthukumar. He will once again pair with his “Sandakozhi” cameraman Nirav Shah . Rajeevan will be the art director and Antony the editor, Brinda Sarathy will provide dialogues and Kanal Kannan is in charge of action choreography.

The chocolate hunk Madhavan has been quite busy with the shooting of his movie 'Manmadhan Ambu' till sometime back. Now, the update is that he has been signed up for the new film 'Vettai' but here is the twist. Sources say that Maddy would be seen essaying the role of a bad guy. This means he would be pitted against the raw hunk Arya by director Linguswamy. As such, Madhavan is known for his versatile roles so let us see how this goes.
