Samantha strikes gold with Dookudu

Samantha seems to have tasted success in Tollywood with Prince Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu, in which she played the solo female lead

A super hit can change the life of everybody connected with it. Last Friday big Telugu release Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu has made Samantha, the hottest heroine in south.

Move over Ileana & Kajal Agarwal, Samantha has become the new flavour of Tollywood. And suddenly out of the blue, Sam has been getting inquiries and calls from Kollywood superstars asking about her dates!

Remember Samantha has been considered “unlucky” by Tamil stars as both her films in Tamil, Moscovin Kaveri and Baana Kathadi, were flops. Though all the three films she did in Telugu were hits.

The Chennai born Samantha is ideally suited for Tamil heroes as she is short, svelte and can speak Tamil.

She is at the moment doing all the three versions (Tamil, Telugu & Hindi) versions of Gautham Menon’s Neethaane En Ponvasantham and top Telugu director SS Rajamouli’s Sci-fi movie Eega.

Now the latest we hear is that Samantha may sign three more films with the cream among Tollywood actors. And from the offers that she is getting in Tamil, she may choose the next Ajith film for producer AM Ratnam.

Samantha has truly arrived on the southern scene with a bang following the super success of Dookudu.
