Soundarya Rajinikanth weds Ashwin Kumar Hot

In one of the biggest weddings in Chennai in the recent times, the second daughter of superstar Rajinikanth Soundarya tied the knot with her boyfriend Ashwin Ramkumar on Friday morning.

The marriage rituals were performed at Rani Meyyammai and Raja Muttiah hall in the city. The ceremony began at 7 am.

Soundarya and Ashwin have been together for more than a year now. They are said to have met through some common family friends. Rajinikanth and Ashwin's father Ramkumar knew each other for many years. His family is in the construction business in the city.

The gala wedding was attended by celebrities from Tamil Nadu and beyond, including veteran politicians, film stars and businessmen. Headlines Today stood witness to the sacred vows exchanged between Soundarya and Ashwin.

The marriage was attended by Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, MDMK leader Vaiko, Mani Ratnam, Chiranjeevi, Sri Devi, Boney Kapoor and several others.

Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan have also arrived in Chennai for the wedding reception scheduled later on Friday. The actress is coming with Rajinikanth in their forthcoming film Endhiran (Robot), releasing later this month.

Other famous stars from the film industry, including Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Surya, Vikram and Ajith are also likely to join the marriage celebrations.

Interestingly, AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa might skip the wedding reception. She was the chief guest for the marriage of Rajinikanth's first daughter Aishwarya in 2004.
