After postponing the audio release for a few times, the makers of the upcoming Tamil film Velayudham has finalized the date for the music launch function. It is believed that the audio will hit the stores on July 5.

Reports have it that the makers of the film were planning to release it on Vijay’s birthday (June 22). But as they are planning to release the movie in August, the movie bosses felt that they would not get enough time to publicize the movie. Hence, the album will be launched on July first week.

Vijay Anthony has composed the music for Velayudham. The audio, having seven songs, has been acquired by Sony Music. The movie is directed by Jayam Ravi and produced by Aascar Ravichandran.not only that, Tamil film industry considers Vijay and Ajith as box-office (BO) rivals. It is well-known that their fans also believe that there is a bit of competition between the two actors for the number one spot. Now that Velayudham and Mangaatha are releasing in August, the stage is set for a BO battle and it will eventually decide who is the best among them , claims a report.

However, the movies are not hitting the screens on the same day. There will be a gap of two weeks between the release of Velayudham and Mangaatha, confirms a report. Industry insiders say that the shortage of theatres issue might arise, as both the films need at least 500 cinema halls for release considering their market.
