Her 70 mm debut came in the form of an item song for the Vivek Oberoi starrer, Dum (2004). Her song, ‘Babuji’ proved to be instant hit and became an anthem at discotheques and pubs. This brought more item songs in her lap and she moved towards cameos and bit parts in movies.
Yana has recently joined the Tamil movie bandwagon with appearances in Manmadhan - Song thathai thathai, Anniyan - Song Remo and a Telugu film Gharshana - Song "Aadathanamaa". She has also appeared in a Kannada movie named Jogi. Besides that, Yana has also hosted countdown show "Mirch Masala" on Zoom TV where she danced to famous dance numbers, but the show is off the air for the time being.
Her future project involves her own English music album where in she would be writing, composing and singing the songs herself. Until then, she is not taking up any other projects.
Incidentally, Yana recently signed up with a leading mobile and PC games company Indiagames as brand ambassador and will be featured in several interesting games and applications related to fitness, puzzles etc.
She loves to work out in the gym in her free time which is required in her field as a dancer needs to have a fit body.
