Will we ever see India win a gold medal in track and field events at the olympics? How do u think we can achieve that dream?

All the money is given to cricket and the players, whether they perform or not, hence young people feel that they should only play cricket to make money. Also, because of lack of funds other sports can't tap or help talent at grassroot levels. Hence cricket is killing other sports. India can also win many gold medals at the Olympics if other sports are funded and promoted properly.

Cricket is killing other sports in both India and Pakistan. I'd like to see both countries excel in other sports, as well. Maybe excel is not the proper word as both nations have made significant strides in different sporting areas but rather financial and mainstream public support. And they have to start with football/soccer. It's a worldwide phenomena and s.asia is nowhere to be found. Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, track/field, and Golf should follow suit.
