Maddy and Aarya hunt

“The chemistry between me and Arya was more intense than with our heroines Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul”, quipped Madhavan in a lighter vein at the audio launch of Vettai that took place in the city recently. He added, “I did Run with Lingusamy ten years ago. Now I’m doing Vettai with him where I play a cop’s role. His passion for cinema is incomparable.”

The function also marked Lingusamy’s 10th year in Tamil cinema. The entire gang of Arya’s buddies, like Vishal, Jiiva, Jayam Ravi and Karthi were present to cheer the team. Amala Paul enthralled the audience with her graceful, live performance of the medley of Vettai songs.

Even Arya, who isn’t the best dancer in the world, shook a leg for the Pappappa number which has already made its way to the top of the charts.

Sameera said that she and Amala bonded so well in the film that now it really felt like they were sisters. The hero of the day, Yuvan Shankar Raja, a man of few words, said, “The expectations are huge because of our earlier combo Paiyaa. For the first time, I have rendered a folk number— Pappappa, which is also my favorite”

After director Shankar released the first set of audios, all the other celebrities, including Venkat Prabhu, Parthiepan, Dhananjeyan, Abirami Ramanathan, Bose and Shiva received a copy.
