At the glittering Sahara Sports Awards night, Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Virat Kohli danced along with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai
And while most of the cricketers, including former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, chose to shake a leg, Sourav Ganguly preferred to stay behind and laud his mates.
> Sachin Tendulkar was chosen Male Cricketer of the Year at the Sahara Sports Awards in Mumbai. Mithali Raj won the same award in women's category. Tendulkar, who was earlier named the ICC Cricketer of the Year for his superb show in both Tests and ODIs, beat back the challenge of India skipper MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag and Suresh Raina to be given the honour by the eminent 14-member jury headed by cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar
>Shah Rukh Khan added the Bollywood bling to the night with his high-energy performance. He enthralled the gathering with his one-liners. He also gave Rajpal Singh and Sandeep Singh dialogue delivery lessons and made them repeat some famous dialogues from 'Chak de India' with a humorous tinge.
> Beijing Olympic Games bronze-medallist Vijender Singh too tried his hands in acting as he gave a Haryanvi touch to Shah Rukh's dialogues from 'Kal Ho Na Ho
> Tennis star Sania Mirza, who was also present at the function along her husband and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, made debut as a compere
> Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor performed at the sports awards. Prachi Desai, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonakshi Sinha also performed at the event.
> VVS Laxman and Yuvraj Singh presented the Sportswoman Of The Year Award to pugilist Mary Kom.
> Actresses Sri Devi, Sonakshi Sinha stand along with former national tennis champion Nandan Bal and tennis player Leader Paes during the Sahara Sports Awards 2010 in Mumbai.
